So I went to deep, (not too wide), to the point that my bwb purfling sits noticeably below the soundboard level. I think thinning the soundboard edge to meet the purfling a would just about bring it down to nothing so I don't like that idea. I put the instrument on hold for now and ordered some .020 black and .020 white fiber sheets from Lmii thinking I can laminate and trim them to the right height, Has anybody here done that? BTW, my binding channel is good. I read somewhere here about filling the purfling ledge with epoxy and rerouting, that sounds interesting although a little scary. I was going to use fish glue, would I have to use epoxy or super glue instead if I went that route? Would it make things worse? I'm sure the epoxy would get all over the place and I would be sorry. Next time I'll do another test cut when changing over from the back to the top, oh well. Please let me know if you have any ideas, Thanks |

I agree with Filippo's suggestions and the way he ordered them. |

Or the Filippo to the rescue cape (if you're a glass is half full type). |

Those fiber sheets work great, I used them on mine. Just cut too tall, and scrape flush when dry. |

Thanks guys, Going to give the fiber paper a chance first before anything more drastic. |
